WiPay rising Fintech Company in Jamaica Title Sponsors for Reggae Sumfest 2022

WiPay Jamaica limited a Financial Technology company is an online payment facilitator who will be processing card payments through their smart terminals at Reggae Sumfest 2022.

Reggae Sumfest is the largest music festival in Jamaica that takes place every year in Montego Bay. It catches the eyes of international and regional visitors.  As a result of the Covid -19 pandemic, Reggae Sumfest was cancelled for two years. The return of this event is the new talk of the town for visitors and citizens and as such it has caught the attention of WiPay Caribbean the fintech company that will be processing card payments.

Country Manager for WiPay Jamaica Limited, Kibwe McGann, says the main goal of WiPay’s presence at Sumfest is to expose vendors, consumers, and small business owners to the WiPay platform. “Having WiPay at Sumfest, small business owners will be able to accept card payments,” says McGann. “WiPay’s platform is safe, secure and reliable,” he noted.

WiPay has been around since 2016 with headquarters in Trinidad and Tobago and branches in several Caribbean territories with Jamaica being one of them. They have partnership with Master Card who has invested millions of dollars in the company in order for consumers and small business owners to enter the era of cashless payments.

This Fintech company has registered over 1000 small business owners in 2021. It is with this same mindset that they want to register vendors at Reggae Sumfest.  

WiPay’s goal for the Caribbean is to go cashless and expose citizens to the new way of conducting business through the different services they offer which included but not limited to Scan 2 Pay, Peer to peer transfer, WiPay me and many more.
